Quiz: Which YA series do you belong in?

Every book lover knows the internet is full of book quizzes. From finding out what book to read next to which character you are/should date/could be your best friend/… There are too many to name. So I thought this would make a wonderful addition to my blog: reviewing book quizzes. So you can find out which ones are worth it, and which ones are crap. Of course, I’ve already talked about book quizzes, namely the official Harry Potter ones to find out your Hogwarts house, your Ilvermorny house,  your wand and your Patronus. These are very much worth it and not at all obvious! To find out more: read my blogpost here.

Now let’s dive right in with a new quiz, published on Bookstr: Which YA Series Do You Belong In? You can find my result on the bottom, followed by a short analysis.

My result? His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman.

Post 175.2

All in all, a pretty good quiz. I answered very varied on purpose because some of the answers were very clear – and I answered in accordance with what (I think) I would do if I was in a YA novel. Some of the answers were pretty straightforward, others were less so. In the first question, “A bow and arrow” very obviously points to The Hunger Games. The second question answers were also pretty obvious: “Dragon” is Eragon, “Daemon” is His Dark Materials. If you are trying to get a specific result than questions 3, 4 and 5 can help you get there based on the main character.  Question 7, 8 and 9 will help decide the general subgenre of YA you’ll end up in. And the last question, the bow and arrow and dragon also obviously point to The Hunger Games and Eragon respectively.

So out of these questions, I already know three of the possible answers. The “corrupt society” from question 7, in my opinion, will point you to Divergent. And I’m not so sure where the others will end up. So when you do the quiz, and get a different result, I’d love to know!

Happy quizzing,

Loes M.
