Happy birthday, Harry!

In just two days, on July 31st, it’s time to celebrate Harry Potter’s birthday! Since he was born in 1980, that makes him 37 today. We all know he shares his birthday with his creator, Joanne Rowling, who turns 52 today. Happy birthday to both of you!

But, 2017 is a significant birthday for our dear Harry. Because this is also the year that the Deathly Hallows epilogue takes place. So that means that one month from now, Harry’s will travel to King’s Cross Station to send his youngest son, Albus Severus Potter, to Hogwarts for the very first time. His oldest son, James Sirius is getting ready for his third year and his daughter Lily Luna still has two wait two more years for her Hogwarts letter. On September 1st, he’ll be standing on that platform, putting his son at ease and saying goodbye to his children as he looks on with Ginny, Ron and Hermione by his side. Rewatch it here:

Harry Potter was such a big part of my childhood and of my life ever since. I’ve reread the books so many times that they are literally falling apart and I rewatch the entire film-box every few years. I’ve blogged about the books, movies and everything around them so often – that it’s one of the biggest categories on my blog, this will be the 29th post in the mix! Yes! Let’s wish that our owl has just gotten lost in bad weather, or got confused over the North Sea, and is still coming with our letter! **fingers crossed**
