I don’t really remember where I got this book from, actually. I just found it in my book cases, while I was cleaning up in there. But it’s a Christmas book, so it’s perfect to read and review during Blogmas, right?!

Dashing Through the Snow by Debbie Macomber is a romance set in Christmastime, as both the title and cover already reveal. I found it a very sweet story, with some unnecessary tension thrown in. It starts in the airport, where both Ashely and Dash are desperately trying to get a flight to Seattle just a few days before Christmas. Neither of them can find a seat, so they hurry over to the car rental place. There is, however, only one car left, so after a bit of bickering back and forth, they decide to drive to Seattle together. But not after Ashley has called Dash’s mom to make sure he’s not a serial killer. It’s a real meet-cute!
As they are driving to Seattle, they get to know each other, kiss a few times, adopt a dog, get cranky when they’re hungry, meet a biker gang, and slowly fall in love. Until a point where, for some inexplicable reason, they are both arrested by the FBI who are chasing a domestic terrorist who has the same name as Ashley. They are brought to some detainment center and are interrogated for 24 hours. The FBI agents finally release them when they realize everything Ashley’s been telling them has been the truth, after which both get on the road again to Seattle. However, because of the FBI hold-up (see what I did there …), Dash has missed his job interview – which was the reason he was going to Seattle in the first place. So they both go to Ashley’s mom’s house where they profess their love for one another – que happy ending for everyone, right on Christmas day!
Now, back to the business of the day: blogmas advent calendars! Here’s today’s catch.
Happy reading!
