Comic Con Brussels 2019

I also went to Comic Con in Brussels this year. And I can’t say anything about it before sharing this photo:

Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) and Evanna Lunch (Luna Lovegood) spend hours there during the entire weekend, taking pictures with fans again and again. But I thought they were very nice. There was not really time for a chat, but I said hi and asked how they were doing and they responded nicely and they didn’t seem too hurried at all. And I love this picture of course!

As far as the floor and the event itself, I can tell you that the Brussels Comic Con was not planned as well as the FACTS convention I went to last year. There were less room, corners and walls in illogical places, and as many people and things crammed in as in FACTS. Which meant it was very crowded, it was not clear where you should walk and it was hot with so many people. It also seemed louder to me, but it’s possible that is because it felt a little claustrophobic.

As for what I purchased here, this time I focussed on comic books. I have just started watching Riverdale, and I’ve never really been into any of the classic comics. So I wanted to get some classic Archie comics! I tried looking for the first in the series. These are the ones I found:

Can’t wait to get started! If you have some recommendations on how I can get started in the classic comics, let me know! I also looked at X-Men, but I really didn’t know how to begin. I loved the cartoon TV-series, so I’m sure I’d appreciate the original comics too. But there are so many different versions and subsets, that I couldn’t figure out where to start. If you can help me, please let me know in the comments!

And then I also enjoyed the panel and picked up a new Hufflepuff tie!

Happy reading,

Loes M.
