Wizarding World Lootcrate – Hogwarts for the Holidays

I’ve just received a new Wizarding World Lootcrate box, with the theme of “Hogwarts for the Holidays”. I was actually a little disappointed, because none of the items felt very holiday-y to me. And I’m a big fan of Christmas, so I was hoping for two of my favourite things to meet: Christmas and Harry Potter.

I did love the inside of the box! I would love that pattern on a blanket or on a set of pyjamas. This box contained one very big item: a reversible pillow. A blue side with a golden H and a red side with golden R. I’m guessing these stand for Harry and Ron. And now that I think about it, this is probably in reference to Mrs. Weasley’s knitted sweaters, as the print on the pillow kind of suggests a knitted pattern.

Below the pillow, was this hard plastic plate, which the box calls a holiday platter. I see it more as a small key plate for by the door maybe? It has a similar pattern to the inside of the box in dark blue with gold and white details. In the middle is a Hogwarts crest, including the motto.

Then there was this beautiful pen. A red pen with the 9 3/4 logo, and on top of that a winter-scene featuring the Hogwarts Express. This is, by the way, a motion pen. The Hogwarts Express itself moves up and down if you move the pen, including a little bit of snow.

I’ve also received another pin that’s found its place on my Hogwarts robes. This beautiful pin features Buckbeak, the Hippogriff.

I’ve just realised this is the only box (so far?) that didn’t come with a T-shirt! Because the last item is this Christmassy wooden sign that reads: “Please forward all gifts to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry”.

Happy unboxing,

Loes M.
